Almost any standard commercial or experimental spark plug can be modified to accommodate the adaptor tube. Representing a significant improvement in spark plug pressure transducer, Model 112-A can easily be dissembled, exposing the inner cavity and passage for cleaning by ordinary methods. This feature saves money. 

It allows the spark plug adaptor which tends to plug with carbon deposits to be easily transferred to other type plugs. It also incorporates an improved quartz mini gage very sensitive to pressure but insensitive to vibratory motion and strain. Consequently results are exceptionally sharp, clean and free of spurious signals which often times mask or obscure the actual pressure signal.

The passage diameter and diaphragm clearance are proportional to impart near critical damping, which means nearly non-resonant acoustic behavior in the tube or probe.
